My brother Trevor and sister-in-law Denene got married this morning at the newport beach temple . they both looked so happy the entire day and it was so great to see them like that . we love denene and she is such a wonderful addition to the family =]

Woo Hoo !!!

ive been waiting months to hear the news that i heard today . .. i had an interview back in april for a promotion at work and i finally heard what i've been longing to hear !!! yes i got the job! i'm getting a $3 pay raise =] thats a pretty big jump and im sure i'll be able to see the difference in my paychecks! it feels good to know that i am helping support myself and my husband . he works so hard for us and its good to know that myself working hard too will help get us closer to where we wanna be! it really helps especially since we do not have kids and we can save more money!

Fun Friday DMV

early this morning michio and i went to the DMV . on the way there we were stopped at a light because some drunk guy was in the middle of the intersection wearing the american flag around his waist!! the cops rolled up on him and we were just watching the cop talk to him for a minute . the guy is on his knees and you can see him begging and pleading to the cop . i wish we couldve heard what nonsense he was saying! The cop was trying to reason with him but the dude just wasn't listening . meanwhile .. . as were watching this michio is in the car yelling "take him down!!get him out of the street! he's a freaking hazard!.. . arrest him!"

so  we're sitting there watching the guy on his knees still talking to the cop . then all of a sudden the cop takes him down to the ground at his neck . .. and both of us start cheering !!! lol .  we were like "yes! yeahhh!"

michio got it on camera on his phone, but we were just too far away . it was pretty awesome though !! i was so upset that i didn't have my camera with me .

we finally get to the lovely DMV . we spend an hour and a half being there . .. not too bad without an appointment . it is never a fun place, BUT .. . the only reason why this was a "fun friday" activity was because i am now officially alyssa lynn takahashi !!! yep, got my address and name changed finally =] i guess i need to start working on a new signature!!

we also spent about an hour of our day just taking turns imitating each other . .. and it was one of thee funniest things ever!!!!! it was hilarious . .. when it was our "turn" we would start by saying "oh yeah?!? well this is you! this is you!" it was just soo funny the things that we notice about each other .. . not to mention how accurate, or inaccurate we imitated each other .. . i definitely recommend it =]

tonight my friends from work were nice enough to let me have the night off early . instead of coming home a little before 9 i got to come home at 6 . yayyyyy . so michio and i decided we better not just waste this daylight we have with each other by sitting at home watching tv . so michio came up with the idea that we should go fishing . .. what a surprise .. . lol .

i got an oreo cookie shake on the way and it was just so thick! it was a lot of hard work to suck it up .

my husband is such a gentleman . he found the perfect spot for me, right next to the side of the building that blocked all the wind =]

 well this is a very special bench . this is where we were sitting when michio stands up to bend down on one knee to ask me to marry him =]
