it was an LA kind of day

 today i got to hang out with some very old friends of mine

we met in kindergarten and have been friends ever since!

how many people can say that?!

a few months ago brianna moved to echo park in la

this is her roof top access

we didnt have much planned...

so first we randomly decided to hike to the hollywood sign!

so... we ended up not really getting all the way there...
none of us brought water.

but it was still worth it!

immediately after the hollywood sign we went to a place called "milk"

we shared a "lady bug"

strawberry ice cream with chocolate chips in the center of two macaroon cookies, half dipped in chocolate

this thing was $6! .... hence the sharing

plus we had a late lunch planned ahead =]

it was quite yummy!

 we saw this on the way to our lunch.

and we had time to spare.

........

yes, we went inside

we talked to a man

he introduced himself as steven and asked for our names

alannah: hi im alannah

brianna: im miranda

me: im ashley

 we did it because we could

brianna likes to do those types of things cuz she knows that she'll never see them again

i couldn't help but follow

i asked steven why everything was blue...

he didn't know why.

we went back to brianna's place to park the car

then walked to our next destination for a late lunch!

we met up with brad 

aren't they just the cutest?!

we were soooo full!

but we decided to keep exploring

brianna wanted to show us some really cool stairs that she discovered

our walk down the stairs:

on our walk we saw some pretty cool houses

check out the house on the right compared to the house on the left!

we stumbled upon a mulberry tree 

we ate fruit right off of it

it was so sweet!

brianna took home a pocket full

we ended up walking around 2 hours from the time we left brite spot until the time we got back home

alannah and i weren't so prepared with our flip flops

we were so tired by the time we got home!

there were soo many hills to go up and down!

what a work out
it was worth every ache and pain tho!

so... we drove to our next destination

shaved ice!

 parking was so ridiculous

the parking lot was about the size of a 7-11 parking lot

except the parking there was valet!!!!

and no, they didn't drive your car to an off site parking structure or anything...

it was valet for the little parking lot that had less than 20 spaces!
