4th

first i just want to apologize that there will be no pictures in this post

i get all prepared and charge my camera in the morning...

come to find after i leave with my camera that the stupid outlet i put it in to charge is a dud.

i was pretty angry! 

but oh well.

(i might add some later if any of the fam puts it on facebook)

so to celebrate our independence we first went to the river!

michio and his brother in law elias found a hill area next to the river.

elias has a water pump from work... so what do they do?

they build a slide on the side of the hill that pulls water from the river to go down the slide!!!

unfortunately, the tarp they used had some holes, so the water would get down to the dirt and would create a crevice under the tarp... making it a pretty bumpy ride.

but the kids still had a lot of fun!

michio's sister emiko, (the one born with brain damage) had no fear going down that thing!

i did not go on the slide.

a few people said it hurt, and some got scratches on their butts...

not happenin here!

the water was the hardest thing for me to get used to!!!

it was 110 outside... but around 50-60 degrees in the water!!!

my master plan was to inch my way in... but thats not gonna happen with michios family.

i got bombarded with splashes then michio pulled me in.

we spent a good 4-5 hours there.

afterwards everyone trickled into keikos house.

she lives around the block from us.

we just hung out and ate until it was time to do fireworks . 

michio and i had to sneak away a few times because it was just sooo hot, and there was so many bodies everywhere. (michio can't handle the heat... at all).

(he gets really irritable and its annoying =] )

so we went home a little bit before it got dark

ever since we've been here i haven't been able to go more then two days without getting a mosquito bite... so i geared myself out before we left.

i hate getting bit! 

i swell up pretty bad...

it was about 95 degrees, and i was wearing long socks over my capri's, and a light long sleeve sweater. 

 even if i wear repellent i still get bit...

i don't care how hot it was, i was covering myself up.

so we're all sitting in the backyard watching all of the fireworks

the kids get so excited and it is fun to see how happy they are =]

then it's time to go home, because michio got one of the worst sun burns ive ever seen him get.

and i come to find that i get two mosquito bites on my fingers!!!!

ughhhhhhh!
